Having A Healthy Lifestyle in Bradenton, FL

Do you truly want to be healthy?  Are you willing to do what is necessary to be healthy?  Or would you rather just wait until you develop cancer, hypertension, diabetes, heart disease and heart attacks?  Even headaches and back pain are things that develop from a poor lifestyle.   If you want health, if you want to live long healthy years, you need to do what is necessary to become healthy.  Yes, it means a change…..a major change!

Most people focus on the pain they will feel if they adopt a health regimen.  “Oh no, I can’t eat sugar!  I can’t eat ice cream!  I can’t eat hot dogs!  I can’t eat French fries.  I have to exercise every day?”….blah blah blah blah blah blah.  They will look at all of the negative reasons why they shouldn’t change and concentrate on the pleasure of continuing to maintain the “sick” lifestyle.  “No one I know has given up all of the good tasting foods.  No one I know gets up early to exercise.  All my friends smoke and they are okay.  No one I know goes to a chiropractor to improve the functioning of his body to become healthy.”  This is what my mother used to call, “irrationally rationalizing”.  You don’t want to do something so you will come up with all sorts of reasons why you don’t have to do it.

Stop concentrating on the pleasure of not changing and the pain you will experience if you do change.  Instead, focus on the pain of NOT CHANGING and the pleasure of CHANGING!  If you don’t change, then obesity, heart disease, peripheral artery disease, diabetes and cancer all become a greater reality then if you choose an unhealthy lifestyle.

The first step in this transformation of your life is to change your attitude.

  1. Start associating the benefits of change to the act of change.  “I must change because I am motivated to be healthy and to live a long high quality life.  If I don’t change, I will not be healthy”
  2. Concentrate on the health benefits.  What will you look like if you were healthy?  How will you feel?  How much energy will you have?  How will it feel to not take medication?  What kind of clothes will you be able to wear that you can’t at the present time?  How will your skin look?  How will it feel to rarely get sick?  How will being healthy impact your life now, five years from now, ten years from now, twenty five years from now?
  3. What will it cost you if you don’t change?  What types of consequences will you be forced to pay by not being healthy?  How will it feel to be seriously ill?  How will it feel to have to live on a dozen different medications with all of their negative effects?  How will that impact your life?  How do you feel as you have to buy larger clothes?  How will it feel to watch yourself prematurely age?  How will it feel when you collapse attempting to climb a flight of steps?  What will you look like five years from now, 10 years from now?  How about 25 years from now….if you make it that long?

When one mentions all of the horrible ways people insult their bodies, do you know how they initially react?  They laugh!  “Yes, I know I haven’t seen my feet in years because my belly is so big”, as he is taking another bite of that super big Mac!

So now what is going through your mind?  Do you still think it is funny proudly eating chocolate and fried chicken and hot dogs?  I hope to G-d that you are thinking, “he is right.  I am destroying my body in ways I have never imagined.  I have to get serious about my health.  I want to be healthy and am willing to do anything and everything necessary to regain my health”.  Once health becomes a priority in your life, the rest is easy.  CALL ME RIGHT NOW!  WE CAN HELP!  I WILL GUIDE YOU.
